My Hobbies
Well, I like everything light, exciting, as well as traditional stuff, so I guess I got a lot of hobbies in which I put much of my time.
Caligraphy....
My grandfather taught me the first class of Chinese caligraphic handwriting, as dated back to about when I was 6. I liked it immediately, but unfortuantely, I had not got any instruction from any expert throughout elementrary school, middle school and high school, but I enjoyed Chinese caligraphy all by myself when I was free on Saturday or Sunday at home. After the day I went to college, I saw really good peers who can do it great, and I was exposed to the plentiful caligraphic arts in Tianjin Ancient Culture Street where many traditional arts are kept and it is full of people with their minds and legs stuck in the beauty of old tradition. From that on, I hung out there a lot and bought lots of books and pens, and spent much of my leisure time just copying/zig-zagging on junk newspapers... Though I'm still pretty bad at it, I just love it and would continue to kill my time with it... Want to know more about Chinese caligraphy, please got to http://www.minaol.com/gb/art/sfw/index.htm
Chinese Chess...
My grandfather taught me this as well, I didn't have money to buy any chess at that time, but I made my own using tiles, and more or less I liked to see that my grandfather was delighted playing with me. And I pretended not to win him after I got into high school, he's about 80, and I was afraid that we won't have much time playing together. Now, I kinda grown up(hopefully), and the damn is that you found no time for it and no partner for it at all, the life goes busier and busier, and chess just pops out of my memory when I feel tired someday off the lab, and I can only play with computer...
Basketball....
I'm too short for basketball, as it belongs to big Shaq's, but does it matter? I found it fun when you make yourself all sweaty, when you jump and run, drive the ball and score it right in the ring... Now I enjoy it everyday, and hopefully, I can do better than ever, and most of all, it keeps me healthy.
Traveling...
I have seen too many books, and I'd like to see more roads, so if you want to travel, come and join me...
